TOMMY J. ARNOLD, 74 of Maumelle, died Thursday, April 17, 2014. Tommy was born Dec. 7, 1939 in Austin, Texas to the late Joe and Gertrude Arnold. He is also preceded in death by three sisters; daughter, Jo Lynn Arnold; and step-son, Jason Knott.

For 51 years, Tommy was involved in the aviation industry in maintenance, safety inspection, and mechanics. He served in the US Air Force. At some point in time, he was involved with NASA missions, and then he retired from the FAA after 24 years of service. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in North Little Rock. He is survived by his wife, Lorie (Robinson) Arnold; daughter, Christi Pilkington and husband Bo; sister, Peggy Arbon; step-children, Molly Smith, Donald Knott, and Elizabeth Knott; grandchildren, Christi Goldsborough, Samuel Hicks, Donny Pilkington, Bradley Pilkington, Joshua Pilkington; and step-grandson, Jason Edward Knott-Myslivy; and great-grandchildren, Aryana Lynn, Rolando Jr., Savannah, Bradley Jr., Bobby, Makayla, Jubilee, Jaylynn, Delaney, and Joshua Jr. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, NLR. www.arkansasfuneralcare.com. –––––•–––––LINDA LOU BURKETT CLARK, 73, of North Little Rock, passed from this life at her home on April 17, 2014. She was born in Conway, Ark. on Jan. 22, 1941 to the late Mason and Laura Ruth Burkett. Linda Lou was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Conway, a graduate of Conway High School, and known as an avid animal lover.

She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, James T. Clark; one son, Mark Pierce; one daughter, Cindy Pierce Moore; three grandchildren, Joshua Moore, Lindsey Moore, Morgan Pierce; and many friends. Linda Lou is also preceded in death by her son, Frank Tiger Carter.

A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, April 21, at 10 a.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery in Conway with Brother Mike Morris Officiating. Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m., on Sunday Evening at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Conway.

–––––•–––––VIRGINIA NELSON COX, 75, of North Little Rock passed away April 17, 2014 at her home. She was born April 8, 1939 in Pine Bluff, Ark. She retired from the Arkansas Division of Volunteerism after many years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayland B. Cox Sr.; and son, Patrick L. Cox. She is survived by one daughter, Teresa L. Hulbert (Joe) of Las Vegas, Nev.; son; Wayland B. Cox Jr. (Rhonda) of San Antonio, Texas; two sisters-in-law, Rubye McClain of North Little Rock and Mary Romine (Aden) of Little Rock; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street. Burial will be in Pinecrest Memorial Park. –––––•–––––JAMES ROBERT YOUNG, “Jimmy”, 61, beloved son, brother, uncle and friend left this world to be with his Heavenly Father on April 19, 2014. Jimmy was born Nov. 21, 1952 in Little Rock. After attending the University of Arkansas and earning a degree in History, he returned to the Little Rock area where he spent most of his life. He lived in Hot Springs Village and worked for an area business until returning to Little Rock for the last year.

Jimmy’s intelligence was always evident in his discussion of world events, movies, sports and his beloved Razorbacks. He enjoyed spending time around his extended family, attending movies, and watching sports and game shows, especially Jeopardy. His knowledge of a variety of subjects would have made him a good contestant. All those who met him remember his kindness, gentle spirit and sense of humor. He will be missed by his parents, Robert L. and Wanda Young of Little Rock; his sisters, Glenda Merchant (Rusty) of Monticello, Donna Goss (Jim) and Diana Ragsdale (Randy) of Little Rock; along with his nieces and nephews.

Jimmy’s family would like to thank Community of Hope, St. James United Methodist Church and Christ of the Hills Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation to Christ of the Hills or Arkansas Alzheimer’s Association.

–––––•–––––EAST END — Jimmy Winbury, age 74, of East End, was born Sept. 6, 1939, in Saline County. He joyously entered his heavenly home, Saturday, April 19, 2014, at St. Vincent. Leaving much love, but sadness to all who loved him. Jimmy had a tremendous love of the outdoors, he was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a member of Potter Creek Hunting Club. He was retired from AMF Cycle Co. and Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Othel and Virginia Winbury; and two sisters, Betty and Hazel Eaton.

He is survived by his wife, Pat Winbury; son, Tim Winbury; grandson, Timothy Winbury; two brothers, Billy Bob and Charles Winbury, all of East End; four step-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
