A small electrical fire at the Jim Dailey Firtness & Aquatic Center in Little Rock has forced the facility to temporarily close.

The fire at the city-run facility occurred early Monday morning, damaging the sauna and parts of the locker rooms.

City Parks and Recreation Director Truman Tolefree said the fitness center would reopen "as quickly as possible" after an investigation into the cause and a cleanup.

“We are thankful that no one was inside the building and that the damage was contained," he said in a statement.

Members will receive a credit for the number of days the center is shut.
