Woman sought in Little Rock shooting

Police say they are obtaining warrants for the arrest of a 21-year-old Little Rock woman suspected in a shooting that injured a man Sunday.

Zachary Buchanan, 22, was shot once about 12:20 p.m. in the 3000 block of Adams Street. Police described the gunshot injury as an apparent neck wound; his condition wasn't clear Monday.

According to a Little Rock Police Department report, Buchanan's girlfriend told investigators it happened after a woman pulled up in a white Ford vehicle, got out and approached Buchanan and said "you must been high crazy talking to me like that."

The girlfriend "heard one gun shot" and watched the woman push Buchanan before returning to her vehicle and driving off, the report said.

Buchanan fell to the ground and was later taken to UAMS Medical Center for treatment.

According to the report, the woman was later identified as Amber Rice, 21, of Little Rock. She had not been arrested Monday, but warrants were being obtained, police Lt. Sidney Allen said in an email.
