Teens held in robbery of Little Rock gas station

Two teenagers have been arrested in the armed robbery of a Little Rock gas station Sunday night, police said.

Tylan Pippins, who police say is 17 but will be charged as an adult, and Briana Young, 19, are each facing charges of aggravated robbery in the 11:20 p.m. holdup at the Exxon station at 10423 Chicot Road.

According to a police incident report, the clerk told investigators that a masked gunman demanded cash and then attempted to open the register but was unsuccessful. Another suspect, whose name was redacted in the report, then went into the business, stole some donuts and fled.

Young and Pippins were found a short time later at Caylor and Eva lanes. After being questioned, they were arrested and booked into the Pulaski County jail.

A separate arrest report for Pippins said he "took items while [the] other suspect held gun on clerk." An arrest report for Young wasn't immediately available.

The police and arrest reports note that the prosecutor's office approved charging Pippins as an adult in the case.

He and Young were being held without bail pending initial court appearances.
