Woman pushes driver out of car, takes off, police say

A refusal to provide a ride to another location was the motive for a Little Rock woman to push a driver out of a vehicle and then take off in it, dragging the victim behind, authorities said.

Jelisa Collins, 21, was arrested about 9:20 p.m. Thursday on a charge of robbery, according to a Little Rock police report. She remained in the Pulaski County jail Thursday morning with bail set at $15,000.

According to the report, Collins was a passenger in the victim's vehicle when the victim refused "to give her a ride to another location."

Collins then "pushed the victim from her vehicle" and drove away, dragging the victim behind for a time, the report said. It wasn't clear if the victim was injured.

Collins later "crashed the vehicle at a residence" and was arrested at her apartment in the 200 block of of East Seventh Street, according to the report.

The victim's identity and relationship to Collins wasn't clear.

Collins is due in court April 30.
