Saturday shooting leaves man dead

A man is dead after a shooting in Little Rock on Saturday, officials say.

Officers responded to the 2700 block of Longcoy Street, where they saw a black man lying in the street, Little Rock Police Departments spokesman Lt. Sidney Allen said in an email.

The man was suffering from at least one gunshot wound in his torso, police said.

Allen said MEMS and Little Rock Fire Rescue performed lifesaving techniques on the scene, but the victim later died at a hospital.

No suspects are in custody, police said.
