Maverick is the pet of the week. He is a 4-month-old Labrador/hound mix. Maverick came to the shelter all by himself, with skin infections. He has since been treated and is doing really well. He is now looking for his forever home. He has a coloring and markings that make him one of a kind. He has a very playful nature about him, and after some playtime, the hound in him comes out and he is ready to take a nap.

Canine Close-Up Ophellia is a 2-year-old Labrador retriever. She is very playful and eager to interact with humans and other dogs. She is on the smaller size for a Labrador, which makes her easier to handle. She loves to get outside and run around, as well as walk with the shelter’s volunteers.

Radar is a 9-month-old miniature pinscher mix. He is an active guy who loves to play. He is a favorite of many volunteers because of his outgoing personality. He is looking for a good friend to be active with, and he gets along well with other dogs.

Tank and Truck are brothers. As their names imply, they are big boys. Shelter staff members think they are a Labrador/mastiff mix. They are a little shy but have been learning to open up. They get along great with other dogs and love group play times with their friends. These are the guys for those who love extra-large breeds.

Featured Felines Gracie is a sweet, 1-year-old, long-haired brown tabby who came to the shelter as a stray. She is spayed and ready to go to her forever home.

Sasha had five beautiful kittens the night after she arrived at the shelter. Her babies are now in a foster home getting big and strong. It’s time now for Sasha to find a home of her own. Sasha is a pretty mix between tortoiseshell and tabby, and she’s not quite 1 year old.

Phoebe is a 9-year-old orange tabby who has never met a stranger. She loves to be petted and to listen to people’s every word. Phoebe is going to make someone a wonderful lap cat.

Buster came to the shelter from the same home as Phoebe, but they really aren’t best buds. Buster is 4 years old and a very dignified gray tabby.

Hannah is a beautiful 2-year-old calico. She is very sweet and very quiet, but she loves being cuddled and getting a good kitty massage.
