By The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

This article was published April 29, 2014 at 11:13 a.m.

May is Arkansas Heritage Month and the theme is “Come to the Table: Celebrating the Flavors of Arkansas.”

From pioneer cooking demonstrations and Dutch oven cook-offs to panel discussions about Arkansas food traditions and special exhibits on how immigrants influenced Arkansas culinary traditions, the month-long observance celebrates Arkansas’ foodways from the mountains to the Delta.

For recipes and a list of events, read Wednesday’s Arkansas Democrat-Gazette Food section.
