Delta Trust & Bank will host a free document-shredding event Saturday in Little Rock.
The bank, in partnership with document-destruction company Shred-It, will destroy anyone's confidential documents between 8 a.m. and noon Saturday at its branch at 11700 Cantrell Road, Delta Trust said.
Volunteers will help unload vehicles, and all papers will be shredded on-site Saturday, the bank said. Staples, paper clips, binder clips and manila folders don't have to be removed from documents, but binders, cardboard, plastics, hard drives and computer discs can't be included in the shred pile, the bank added.
“Last year’s shred it event was widely successful so we knew we wanted to offer the community this opportunity again,” Delta Trust Chief Operating Officer Carroll Penick said in a statement. “Fraud and identity theft are serious concerns. We hope this event prevents someone from falling victim to one of these horrible crimes.”
