Boone County residents are invited to discuss the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department’s plans to widen U.S. 65 in a public meeting next week.
Department officials said the construction will expand the highway to four lanes with a painted median. The work will extend north 4 1/2 miles from Arkansas 206 to Maxie Camp Road, south of Bellefonte.
The meeting will be held Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Family Life Center of First Baptist Church Valley Springs at 4537 Hog Creek Road in Valley Springs.
