'Pot' reportedly left in NLR patrol car

A man arrested Friday was charged additionally after police said they found marijuana in the back seat of the patrol car he had been transported in, according to an arrest report.

North Little Rock police arrested 30-year-old Cameron Lamonte Parker at 600 N. Walnut St. on a warrant for failing to pay fines. After Parker was handcuffed, he attempted to flee and struggled when an officer apprehended him, police said.

Parker was taken to the Pulaski County jail at 3:10 p.m., and officers later reported finding 12 plastic bags of marijuana in the back seat of the patrol car. According to police, the car had been checked before the officer's shift, and no one except Parker had been transported in that vehicle.

Parker is accused of refusing to submit to arrest, failure to pay fines and possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance with purpose to deliver. His bail was set at $9,010.

Parolee faces gun charge after search

A convicted felon was arrested Friday over accusations that he had a handgun in his home, according to an arrest report.

A parole officer searched the home of Patrick Earl Stelivan, 51, at 2 p.m. Friday and found a loaded handgun and digital scale, police said. He was booked and charged with possession of a firearm and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Stelivan is a registered sex offender with a listed address of 6904 Asher Road in Hensley. According to Pulaski County court records, Stelivan was convicted of rape in December 1991 and sentenced to 40 years in prison.

Stelivan's bail had not been set Friday night, and he had a hold placed on his custody.
