Cedarville fatal shooting investigated

CEDARVILLE — Arkansas authorities are investing the death of a man in what they say is a self-defense shooting in Cedarville.

Crawford County Prosecuting Attorney Marc McCune told the Southwest Times Record that the shooting happened Saturday afternoon. He said it appears a man was trying to break into a home when the owners shot him in self-defense. No arrests have been made. Neither the shooter nor victim has been identified.

McCune said investigators are awaiting results of a toxicology report performed on the victim.
