Work on Arkansas 87 in Stone County will require a road closure northwest of Mountain View this week, state highway officials have said.
Crews replacing a damaged drain beneath the highway in the area between Hampton Drive and Wilcox Drive will need to close the road from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department said.
A detour will be created to follow Arkansas 66 to Arkansas 9 and then head west on Arkansas 14, highway officials said. The closure will be 2.5 miles of Arkansas 66 at the bottom of “Red Hill” and a quarter-mile south of Wilcox Road, the department added.
