More than 40 employers will be present at a job fair scheduled for Thursday for veterans and military spouses.
Job seekers can register at hiringourheroes.org. Walk-in job seekers are allowed. Veterans must provide proof of service, according to a news release issued on behalf of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, which is hosting the event.
The “Hiring Our Heroes – Little Rock” event will also include a free employment workshop focused on resume writing, interview skills, and job search techniques for military members and their spouses.
After the fair, employers can attend a “Best Practices in Veteran Recruitment Lunch & Learn” session to develop and refine strong military recruitment initiatives.
The workshop will begin at 8:30 a.m., and the hiring fair will take place from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Goodwill Resource Center at 7400 Scott Hamilton Road in Little Rock. Additional information is available from Kristi Barr at kbarr@littlerockchamber.com or (501) 377-6017.
