Man charged with Texarkana murder pleads innocent

TEXARKANA — One of three Arkansas men charged with capital murder in a fatal shooting has pleaded innocent.

The Texarkana Gazette reported that 21-year-old Devin White entered the innocent plea Tuesday morning.

Court records indicate White used an AR-15 rifle in February to kill 25-year-old DeMarquis Reeves after he was knocked unconscious at a home in Miller County.

Authorities say White and two other men are charged with capital murder because they lured Reeves to the house in order to kill him.

Witnesses tell police White was angry because he'd been robbed of a gun and a computer. Witnesses say Reeves was in possession of the items when he was killed.
