CFO Beckham to resign from USA Truck

USA Truck Inc. Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Cliff Beckham has announced his plan to resign effective Sept. 30 “to pursue new career opportunities,” the Van Buren-based transportation logistics company said Thursday.

The company has been searching for a permanent CFO, and Beckham has said he’s willing to remain available as an adviser until one is appointed, USA Truck said in a statement.

"The milestone we achieved for the second quarter — reporting the first quarter of positive net income in three years — presented an opportune time for me to pursue new career challenges,” Beckham said in the statement. “I feel privileged to have spent so many years at USA Truck and look forward to watching [CEO] John [Simone] and his management team continue to strengthen the organization, create a winning environment for employees and deliver value for USA Truck's shareholders."

USA Truck last week said the second quarter brought the company's first quarterly profit in three years.
