Cotton launching statewide RV tour

LITTLE ROCK — Republican U.S. Rep. Tom Cotton is launching a bus tour around Arkansas to promote his bid to unseat Democratic U.S. Sen. Mark Pryor.

Cotton on Thursday planned to launch his "Arkansas First" tour with a stop at a fundraiser at Cajun's Wharf in Little Rock.

For the tour, Cotton is campaigning around the state in an RV covered with an oversized campaign logo. Cotton's campaign the RV's stops this week will also include Conway, Hot Springs Village, Magnolia, Crossett, Clarksville, Fort Smith, Hope, Camden, Hampton and Monticello.

Cotton is a freshman congressman representing south Arkansas' 4th Congressional District. Pryor was first elected to the Senate in 2002. The race is one of the closely watched in the country, with the candidates and outside groups having spent nearly $18 million.
