A Little Rock Police Department SWAT team was called Sunday night after they were told an armed man had barricaded himself in an abandoned house after a domestic disturbance.
Police spokesman Lt. Sidney Allen said officers were called to the 700 block of South Valentine Street about 7:30 p.m. and made contact with a woman who said she and her male associate got into an argument and that he fired a shot at her.
He then fled on foot and went into an abandoned house nearby.
Police negotiators tried to contact the unidentified man by bullhorn but received no response.
About 10:45 p.m., they searched the house, but the man was not there, Allen said in an email.
Police will continue to investigate the incident, he said.
