Missing Pulaski County teen found in Memphis

Officials located a Landmark teen Wednesday who had been missing since Thursday.

Courtney Barnes, 16, was found in Memphis on Wednesday morning, Drew T. Evans of the criminal investigations division of the Pulaski County sheriff's office said in an email Wednesday afternoon.

The Pulaski County sheriff’s office is searching for a Landmark teenager who's been missing since last week.

Officials say Courtney Barnes, 16, ran away from her home around 1 a.m. Thursday. She was last seen getting into a gold Ford Crown Victoria car. She left a note stating that she was going to her mother’s house in Georgia, but she has not contacted anyone since, according to the sheriff's office.

Investigators say Barnes has friends in the Pine Bluff area, but they have no other leads at this time.

Barnes is described as black, 5 feet tall, 135 pounds, with a birth mark on her left cheek.

Information about Barnes’ whereabouts can be reported to the Pulaski County sheriff’s office at (501) 340-6963.
