Poultry deboning facility to add 100 jobs in Warren

About 100 new jobs will be created when a poultry deboning operation opens in Warren, officials announced Wednesday.

The Arkansas Economic Development Commission said Blue Rooster will open the center at 110 Industrial Park Drive, where H&L Poultry was previously located. Production is set to begin in October, the commission said.

“Blue Rooster’s decision to locate a poultry facility in Warren is great news for Southern Arkansas,” Gov. Mike Beebe said in a statement. “We appreciate the City of Warren, the Arkansas Development Finance Authority and the Arkansas Economic Development Commission for working together to make this project possible.”

Officials say Blue Rooster will debone poultry for Rogers-based Ozark Mountain Poultry, which produces more than 3 million pounds of poultry a week.

Applications can be picked up starting Monday at the Old Warren National Guard Armory, 101 S. Martin St.
