Two on LR board put names in for re-election

Deadline near, municipal filings roll in

Two Little Rock city directors seeking re-election were among several candidates filing Tuesday for municipal offices within Pulaski County.

Little Rock City Director Erma Hendrix, 84, filed for re-election in the city's Ward 1. Robert Webb, 45, also filed for the Ward 1 board position. Herbert Broadway, 55, filed Monday as a Ward 1 candidate. Both Webb and Broadway ran in 2010, losing in that election to Hendrix.

Little Rock City Director Ken Richardson, 48, also filed for re-election to the Ward 2 city board seat. Richardson will face Pam Adcock, 52, who filed for the Ward 2 position last week.

Little Rock city board terms are for four years and pay $18,000 annually, with a monthly office allowance of $250.

In North Little Rock, Ida Emerson, 53, filed for Ward 2 alderman against incumbent Linda Robinson, 60, who filed for re-election last week for another four-year term. North Little Rock aldermen are paid $10,300 annually with a $250 monthly office and vehicle allowance.

Maumelle Alderman Ken Saunders, 62, filed for re-election in Ward 1. Maumelle City Clerk/Treasurer Joshua Clausen, 37, also filed for re-election Tuesday.

Aldermen are paid $250 per meeting in Maumelle. The city clerk/treasurer position pays $56,000. Positions are for four years.

Cammack Village added two candidates in Debbie Eldridge, 54, who will be a candidate for alderman in Ward 2, Position 1, and Mary McCullan, 57, who filed for the Ward 1, Position 1 seat. Cammack Village aldermen are paid a $1,800 yearly stipend and serve two-year terms.

The filing period for elected offices in Little Rock, North Little Rock, Maumelle and Cammack Village continues through noon Friday for the Nov. 4 general election.
