2nd man charged in 1997 Oklahoma death

FAYETTEVILLE — Another man has been charged in the death of a 28-year-old man that occurred nearly 20 years ago.

Fayetteville television station KHOG reported that 56-year-old Ricky Dority is charged with first-degree murder and robbery in connection with 28-year-old Mitchell Nixon's death in 1997.

Authorities found the victim's body near Sallisaw, Okla. Agents discovered a bloody rock next to Nixon's head.

Rex Richard Robbins is also charged in connection with Nixon's death and has pleaded innocent to the charges.

Dority is in a federal prison after he was convicted in 1999 for being a felon in possession of a firearm. Oklahoma prosecutors say he will be brought to the state to be arraigned for his new charges. It wasn't immediately clear whether Dority has an attorney.
