Gardening 101 Workshop: Seeds for Change
HOT SPRINGS — Adam Webb and colleagues from the Garland County Library will present A Gardening 101 Workshop: Seeds for Change, from 9:30-11:30 a.m. in the Magnolia Room at Garvan Woodland Gardens. Attendees will learn how to participate in the new seed-bank program, as well as discuss best practices for gathering, cleaning and storing seeds. Participants will check out seeds at planting time and return a portion of their crops for next year’s supply of fresh seeds for other gardeners. HOT SPRINGS — Merchants and residents of Park Avenue will present a series of festivals from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. the second Saturday of the month through September. Vendors will offer food, crafts, jewelry, tie-dyed items, metal and wood crafts, an organic dog wash, bicycle repair, organic fruits, vegetables, plants and flowers. Merry Mixers Dance Club
HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE — The Hot Springs Village Merry Mixers dance to live music from 7:30-10:30 p.m. the first and third Saturdays of every month at the Coronado Community Center. BRYANT — Relay for Life of Saline County will host its fifth annual Celebrity Waiter fundraiser from 5-8 p.m. Aug. 25 at Larry’s Pizza.
