Lake Hamilton player injured

A Lake Hamilton High School football player suffered a head injury Thursday night at the team’s practice at Wolf Stadium in Pearcy.

Wolves Coach Jerry Clay said the player, who wasn’t named, was transported to Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock as a precaution.

The player was tackled in a thud drill. Clay did not witness it.

“Anytime you have a head injury, you have to be cautious,” Clay said in a telephone interview.

Lake Hamilton’s practice started at about 6 p.m. Thursday. It was the second full-pads practice for the Wolves, who play in the 6A-South.
