Authorities in Springdale were searching Friday night for an Arkansas Department of Correction inmate who walked away from a supervised work detail.
Clayton Eugene Shatswell Jr., 30, fled the Northwest Arkansas Work Release Center about 8:50 p.m., Department of Correction spokesman Shea Wilson said.
Shatswell is serving a 121-month sentence for a forgery conviction in Benton County. He is described as white, 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds with brown hair and green eyes.
