Patient chargedin nurse attack

A woman hospitalized in North Little Rock was arrested Saturday after purportedly attacking a nurse.

Police reported that Lori Counts, 42, was being treated at Baptist Health Medical Center when she struck a nurse who was assisting her. When the nurse tried to restrain her, Counts bit the nurse and pulled her hair, according to an arrest report.

The nurse was left with an "open wound and visible contusion" from the attack, according to the report.

Counts of North Little Rock was arrested at 4:11 a.m. and charged with second-degree battery. She was being held in the Pulaski County jail on $10,000 bail late Saturday.

Boyfriend accusedof uttering threats

A North Little Rock man was arrested Friday after threatening to rob and kill his girlfriend, according to an arrest report.

Police responded about 4 p.m. to the 3200 block of East McCain Boulevard, where Latoya Rogers told officers that Willie Dortch, her boyfriend of eight years, had pointed a pistol at her. She accused Dortch of demanding money and threatening to kill her, according to the report.

No injuries were reported. Further details were unavailable.

Dortch, 30, of Jacksonville, was charged with aggravated robbery, aggravated assault on a family or household member and possession of firearms by a certain person. He was being held in the Pulaski County jail in lieu of bond late Saturday.
