Arkansas postcard past

Arkansas, 1966 Mailed to potential voters the card assured Arkansans: "Win Rockefeller, as governor, will provide stable and responsible leadership to Arkansas. He can do the most for our state in many ways, and I hope you join me in helping to elect him." In November, Rockefeller defeated former State Supreme Court Justice "Justice Jim" Johnson to become the state's first Republican governor since 1872.
