MOUNTAIN HOME -- Arkansas authorities have charged a man after a police pursuit that left the man and an officer injured.
The Baxter Bulletin reported 53-year-old Rory Gregory was charged with aggravated assault, fleeing, theft and resisting arrest using force.
Mountain Home police said officer Larry Caruso pursued Gregory's truck Saturday night along U.S. 62 after a suspected theft.
Police said Gregory rammed the officer's car, then tried to run over Caruso when he got out to arrest Gregory. Police said Caruso punched out the truck's driver's-side window and managed to stop the vehicle.
Caruso suffered minor cuts to his arms.
Gregory was treated at a hospital before being booked into the Baxter County jail in lieu of $1 million bond. Online jail records didn't indicate an attorney for him.
