2 nabbed at motelon drug charges

A man and woman were arrested in the parking lot of a North Little Rock motel Sunday on multiple drug charges, according to police.

An officer was patrolling the parking lot of Super 8, 1 Gray Road, according to an arrest report. When an officer approached a silver Mercedes, its occupants exited the car and began walking away quickly, police said.

The officer caught up with and searched 35-year-old Christopher Dunkle of Sherwood and 20-year-old Haley Yates of Benton.

Police purportedly found 5.5 grams of methamphetamine and a methamphetamine pipe in Dunkle's pockets and a syringe and crack pipe in Yates' purse. During a search of the Mercedes, officers discovered a digital scale and a bottle containing 79 Clonazepam pills, according to an arrest report.

Dunkle was arrested and booked into Pulaski County jail on possession of methamphetamine with purpose to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance. Police also found he had three active warrants out of Jacksonville for failure to appear. His bail was set at $35,000. He remained on the jail's roster late Monday with a parole hold placed on his custody.

Yates was booked into Pulaski County jail on possession of drug paraphernalia. Her bail was set at $1,000, and she was not on the jail's roster Monday night.

Video helps policearrest man in theft

A North Little Rock man arrested Monday is accused of stealing $1,500 worth of cigarettes from a Little Rock warehouse, according to police.

Police arrested Frederick Boles, 30, about 5:15 p.m. after viewing security footage from the warehouse located at 4000 W. 65th St. The video shows Boles removing a large box of cigarettes and placing it into a vehicle in the parking lot, police said.

Boles was booked into Pulaski County jail for theft of property -- a Class D felony. His bail was set at $1,000, and he remained on the jail's roster late Monday.

Man admits to theftof rug, $500 in NLR

A Little Rock man arrested Monday is accused of stealing cash and a rug from a North Little Rock store, according to police.

Eamon McManus, 28, was arrested about 1:45 p.m. Monday after admitting to police that he broke into Hogman's Gameday Superstore, 5308 JFK Blvd. Police said McManus stole $500 in cash and a white rug valued at $50.

McManus was booked into Pulaski County jail on a charge of commercial burglary. He was being held in lieu of bond late Monday.

Stolen phone leadsto woman's arrest

A Maumelle woman was arrested Monday over accusations that she tried to sell a stolen cellphone back to its owner, according to police.

Sabrina Burnside, 43, was arrested at 7722 Cantrell Road in Little Rock at noon. Police said Burnside attempted to sell the phone back to its owner at a McDonald's.

Burnside was booked into Pulaski County jail for theft of property. She was found to have active warrants out of Little Rock and Sherwood for contempt of court and failure to pay fines.

She remained on the jail's roster late Monday. Her bail was set at $3,950.
