Naked woman hits officer, report says

A naked woman attacked a Little Rock police officer Tuesday afternoon, according to an arrest report.

When officers arrived at Leah Rochelle's 32 Flag Road residence at about 2:40 p.m., she answered the door wearing nothing but a towel, which she soon dropped, according to police. Rochelle then "turned a full circle allowing everyone outside to see her," the report said.

Rochelle purportedly began screaming and cursing. When an officer tried to arrest her, Rochelle pulled the officer's hair and struck her multiple times, according to the report.

The report did not indicate why officers were called to the residence.

Rochelle, 39, was charged with third-degree battery, indecent exposure, disorderly conduct, obstructing governmental operations and resisting arrest. She was being held in the Pulaski County jail in lieu of $5,000 bond Tuesday.

2 sought in holdup at LR dollar store

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a Dollar General store in Little Rock on Monday.

Officers responded shortly before 9 p.m. to the store at 5021 Baseline Road, where two men with handguns had escaped with an unknown amount of money. The robbers forced a store employee to remove cash from a safe and place the money in a plastic bag, according to a police incident report. The men, whose faces were covered with clothing during the robbery, were last seen fleeing on foot south on Sunset Road.

No injuries were reported.

The men are both described as black, 5-foot-8, 130 pounds and between 23 and 26 years old. One of the suspects has a teardrop tattooed on his right cheek, according to police.

Boy reports bullet's strike, takes it out

A teenager was struck by a bullet while walking home in Little Rock on Monday, police reported.

Officers responded at 7:39 p.m. to the 7000 block of Grace Road, where the injured 16-year-old boy said he had been walking nearby on Mabelvale Pike at Forbing Road when he heard a loud pop, according to a police report. The teen told officers that he continued walking and soon noticed blood seeping through his shirt. He then removed a small-caliber bullet protruding from his right shoulder, the report said.

The boy had minor injuries, according to the report. His mother took him to a local hospital after he arrived home.

It appeared the gunshot came from the area of King's Crossing Apartments at 6815 Forbing Road, the boy told police. Police searched the area for evidence but found none.

An investigation is ongoing.

Accused assaulter of girl, 1, arrested

A Little Rock man accused of sexually assaulting a 1-year-old girl was arrested Monday.

Police responded about 2:33 p.m. to a home in the 6100 block of Mabelvale Cutoff Road, where emergency personnel were treating the child for bruises, bite marks and vaginal trauma. The child was taken to Arkansas Children's Hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries.

Police reported finding blood on a bed a the home.

Avin Mireles, 59, was arrested. He told officers that he did not sexually assault the child and that she was bleeding because she bit her lip while crying, the report said.

Mireles was charged with rape and first-degree battery. He was being held in lieu of $750,000 bond in the Pulaski County jail late Tuesday.

2 heists in 5 days reported at Rally's

A Little Rock fast-food restaurant was robbed Sunday for the second time in five days, police reported.

Officers responded at 4:22 a.m. to Rally's at 5921 Baseline Road. Two employees told officers they had been outside the restaurant emptying trash when three men approached and demanded to be let inside, according to a police incident report. One of the men purportedly held a gun to an employee's head.

The men fled in red 2001 Chevrolet Trailblazer that they stole from one of the employees. They escaped with an unknown amount of cash.

No injuries were reported.

Police searched the area for the suspects, described as black males wearing scarves and beanie hats, but made no arrests.

The restaurant was held up last Wednesday by a man who claimed to have a gun, according to police. In that case, Michael Brodie purportedly asked for $10 from the register and threatened to shoot employees, police said.

Brodie, 47, a parolee, was arrested the next morning. He remained in the Pulaski County jail late Tuesday on charges of aggravated robbery.
