Tornado-rubble removal set to end

Sanitation crews will stop tornado-debris removal in west Pulaski County on Sept. 1, according to a county news release Tuesday.

In May, Pulaski County received $500,000 from the state to pay for removing debris from the EF-4 tornado that cut through the area April 27. Officials stated then that they anticipated the funds lasting through August.

Bins in the damaged area will be removed by Sept. 1, and residents with debris are encouraged to deposit it in the roadside right of way for pick up before then.
