Police find missing Jonesboro man

5:00 p.m. update:

The Jonesboro Police Department has inactivated a Silver Alert it issued Thursday afternoon.

Police say that Curtis Atkinson, 81, was found safely Thursday, but couldn't disclose where he was found.


The Jonesboro Police Department has activated a Silver Alert for an 81-year-old man who has been missing since 7 a.m. Thursday.

Police said Curtis Atkinson was last seen at 1308 Pardew St. in Jonesboro and could be traveling in a scratched, green 2004 Dodge Dakota with the Arkansas tag “USADNHW.”

Atkinson is described as having bushy gray hair and hazel eyes, standing 5 feet 8 inches and weighing 175 pounds.

Anyone with information about Atkinson’s whereabouts is asked to call the Jonesboro Police Department at (870) 935-5551.
