MOUNTAIN HOME — Doctors say a Mountain Home woman accused in the death of a 24-year-old man is mentally fit to proceed to trial.
Christina Scroggin has been charged in the April death of Raul Turrieta of Mountain Home, after authorities discovered the victim's body in the trunk of Scroggin's car. An autopsy found that Turrieta died from three gunshot wounds in the head and chest. Authorities say they also discovered a pistol in Scroggin's car.
Scroggin's attorney had sought a mental evaluation for his client.
Mountain Home radio station KTLO reported that Scroggin's attorney says he won't contest the findings.
Scroggin's trial has also been moved from Baxter County to neighboring Marion County. Investigators say that Turrieta's death occurred in Marion County.
A message left with Scroggin's attorney was not immediately returned.
