ASU starts ROTC classes at Harding

JONESBORO -- Arkansas State University's ROTC program and private Harding University have formed a partnership to provide military science courses on Harding's campus in Searcy, a news release said.

Class instruction will be a shared responsibility between the cadre based out of the ROTC program at Arkansas State University-Beebe and those from the main campus at Jonesboro. Faculty and staff from Jonesboro will continue to conduct weekly assistance visits to support leadership labs and field training.

"Both Harding University officials and students are motivated to ensure this mutually beneficial relationship is successful," Lt. Col. Cecil L. Clark, an ASU professor of military science, said in the news release. "ROTC brings premier leadership training and career opportunities, as well as scholarships and other benefits."
