Researchers at ancestry.com estimate that in the 1930s, people took approximately 1 billion photographs. That number grew to about 3 billion in the 1960s and 86 billion by the year 2000 after digital cameras became readily available in the 1990s. Today, they say the number has skyrocketed to more than 380 billion. Facebook reports that its users have uploaded more than 250 billion photos, and estimates that the site receives ...
