Hammer threat gets man held, police say

A Little Rock man threatened to kill a person who caught him breaking into a car Wednesday morning, according to an arrest report.

Officers responded shortly before 9 a.m. to 4501 S. University Ave. Chad Easterling told police that he had caught a man breaking into a vehicle with a hammer, the report said. The suspect, Terry Raglin, purportedly threatened to kill Easterling with the hammer after being spotted.

Raglin, 26, had a hammer in his possession when he was arrested, according to police. He was charged with second-degree terroristic threatening, criminal mischief and obstructing governmental operations.

Raglin was being held in lieu of $4,500 bond at the Pulaski County jail late Wednesday.

Report: Copper, gun theft lead to arrest

Police arrested a man Wednesday who purportedly stole a gun in a residential burglary earlier this week.

Christopher Baker, 40, admitted to police that he stole a .22-caliber handgun from a home in the 1500 block of South Louisiana Street on Sunday, according to an arrest report. Baker also admitted to entering the crawl space of a home in the 1500 block of South Broadway and stealing copper Aug. 20, the report said.

He was charged with burglary, breaking or entering and two counts of theft of property. A convicted felon, Baker was additionally charged with possession of a firearm by certain persons.

He was being held in lieu of bond at the Pulaski County jail late Wednesday.

Police: Licenseless vehicle was stolen

After seeing a man driving a motorcycle with no license plate on the sidewalk Tuesday, a North Little Rock police officer pulled over the driver and discovered the vehicle had been stolen.

Michael Bischoff, 25, was pulled over shortly before 7 p.m. in the 1500 block of East Washington Avenue and arrested. He was charged with theft by receiving.

Bischoff was not listed on the Pulaski County jail roster late Wednesday.
