— Arkansas junior Michael Qualls has been named the Southeastern Conference's player of the week for the first time.

Qualls scored in double-figures in all three of the Razorbacks' games last week, including a career-high 22 points in a win over North Texas on Friday. He also scored 13 points at SMU and 20 points against Iona.

In the Iona game, Qualls sparked a second half run that put the game away. He scored 11 points during a 3-minute, 26-second stretch late in the game, and also helped shut down the Gaels' leading scorer on the defensive end.

The Razorbacks are 6-0 this season and ranked No. 18 in the Associated Press Top 25 poll. Arkansas travels to No. 20 Iowa State on Thursday.
