Authorities say a dive team has concluded its search of the Little Red River in Searcy after finding no clues in the disappearance of missing toddler Malik Drummond.

Divers began searching the waters of the river that runs by the city's northeast side Tuesday after receiving a tip. But Searcy Police Department spokesman Cpl. Steve Hernandez said the water search "did not turn anything up."

Malik was reported to have wandered off from his home in the 700 block of West Park Avenue the night of Nov. 23. Hundreds of volunteers, along with law enforcement and search specialists with K9s, combed the area in the days after, but found no sign of the missing boy.

Police earlier this week called off the volunteer-driven search, but said police would continue the effort and that a criminal investigation was ongoing.
