A 32-year-old bicyclist from Wynne died Monday after a collision with a pickup in Cross County, authorities said.
Arkansas State Police said in a report that Alicia R. Carlisle was riding a bike south on Airpark Road about 2:10 p.m. when she "failed to yield" to traffic at U.S. 64B and was hit by a westbound 2004 Dodge pickup.
Carlisle was taken to Crossridge Community Hospital in Wynne, where she died from her injuries. The pickup driver was not hurt.
Conditions at the time of the collision were said to be clear and dry.
The death was the 439th in a traffic crash in Arkansas so far this year, according to preliminary figures.
