Armed man robs LR gas station

An armed man robbed a gas station in Little Rock early Friday morning, and is still at large, police said.

Little Rock Police officers arrived about 4 a.m. at the Shell Superstop gas station at 8000 Geyer Springs Road, where a female employee told officers a man came into the station wearing a ski mask on his face and carrying what appeared to be a black, semi-automatic handgun, a Little Rock Police Department report states.

The man told the woman to step away from the register and came around to the other side of the counter, before demanding she open one of the cash registers, according to the report. The man took the money out of both registers before fleeing out the back door, police say.

The amount of money stolen was not reported, but the employee said "they had not done a money drop all night," in the report.

Anyone with information regarding this incident can contact the Little Rock Police Department at (501) 371-4605.
