Windstream picks interim CFO for post

Windstream Holdings, Inc. on Friday picked as its new chief financial officer the man who's been filling the role on an interim basis since October.

Bob Gunderman was named chief financial officer at the Little Rock telecommunications firm a day after it made a change in its leadership, hiring Chief Executive Officer Tony Thomas to replace Jeff Gardner.

Gundmerman, who has also been serving as the company's interim treasurer, will also continue in that capacity until a new treasurer is hired, Windstream said in a statement.

“I am pleased to promote Bob to CFO," Thomas said in a news release. "He is a skilled and seasoned finance leader with intimate knowledge of our business and the opportunities in front of us. Alongside our talented finance organization, Bob will play an integral role in driving improved operating performance and profitability at Windstream."

Windstream on Friday also named Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer David Works as the new president of enterprise President of Consumer David Redmond as the new president of consumer and Small and medium business and Senior Vice President of Carrier Solutions Mike Shippy as the new president of carrier.
