Gunman forces KFC worker to drive, hand over deposit, police say

A man armed with an apparent gun was waiting for a KFC employee in the back of his car when the worker left the restaurant Monday morning with a bank deposit, authorities said.

It happened about 9 a.m. at the KFC at 8220 Geyer Springs Road.

According to a Little Rock Police Department report, the 31-year-old employee got into his 2003 Buick Century to take a deposit to the bank when a man "rose up from the backseat and put what he believed to be a gun to the back of his head."

The worker said the man instructed him to "drive normal" to Geyer Springs Road and Valley Drive, where the man took the deposit, got out and then fled south on Geyer Springs in a newer-model black vehicle, the report said. It wasn't known how much money was in the deposit.

Police searched the area but didn't make an arrest. No injuries were reported.

The robber is described only as a black man who wore a black hoodie and black pants.
