Fayetteville National Cemetery gets new director

Fayetteville National Cemetery has a new director, according to a news release.

Tom Ruck comes from Southern California and is the author of "Sacred Ground: A Tribute to America's Veterans."

As director, Ruck will be responsible for administrative operations, burials and maintenance at the cemetery.

Ruck, originally from St. Louis, graduated from the University of Missouri in 1976. He has worked in sales, management and product development with medical laboratory companies including Smith Kline Beecham and Quest Diagnostics.
