Hobbs State Park reveals eagle watch tour dates

ROGERS — The conservation area of Hobbs State Park is offering eagle watch tours on Beaver Lake through February.

Rebekah Penny, a park interpreter, said visitors always see eagles on the tours, some mature and some immature. Penny said tour participants always see other beautiful wildlife as well. They include migrating osprey, great blue herons, kingfishers, deer or red-tailed hawks.

Penny said only 20 guests can go on an eagle watch tour at one time, so it's important that folks call the park in a timely manner to ensure their names get on the boarding lists.

Tours are scheduled Jan. 1-4, Jan. 10-11, Jan. 17-19, Jan. 24-25 and Jan. 31. Tickets must be purchased in advance and are $10 for adults and $5 for children aged 6-12.
