Victim: Wounded during 'pot' buy

Little Rock police are investigating the Saturday night shooting of a Conway woman who told police she was shot by a man she attempted to purchase marijuana from but who instead pulled a gun on her.

Police responded to Westbridge Apartments, 2123 Labette Manor Drive in Little Rock, around 10 p.m. Saturday where Tori Harris, 22, of 1213 Second St. in Conway, told officers she and her husband had driven to the apartment complex to buy marijuana from an unknown man who her friend "Aubry" knew. After meeting the intended seller, the man told the couple they had to drive to another location for the drugs, police said.

Harris' husband stayed behind, and as the car left the parking lot with Harris inside, the subject told Harris "this is now a robbery" and pointed a silver revolver at her, the report states. Harris fled the vehicle, but the man shot at her, with one bullet grazing her left thigh, according to police.

Harris' husband heard the gunshots, police said, and found his wife in the parking lot. The couple went to a nearby apartment to call police.

The injury was not life-threatening, police said, and Harris was transported to Baptist Health Medical Center-Little Rock.

The suspect is described as a 5-foot-9, 130-pound black man between the ages of 23 and 25. He was wearing a black hoodie and black pants. The couple couldn't provide officers with a vehicle description, police said.
