Cesar Michael Figueroa, 24, was scheduled to go on trial Wednesday -- after a November postponement -- after he was assigned a public defender in October. He previously had an attorney who had filed court documents stating he planned to argue that Figueroa "intends to rely on the defense of insanity and/or mental incapacitation."

The new trial date for Figueroa is March 2 in Washington County Circuit Court, according to Chief Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Matthew Durrett.
