Before the season, there were few Central Arkansas players more excited about first-year Coach Steve Campbell's scheme than Caruthers.

The senior from Sugar Land, Texas, was eager to help with the beginning stages of a philosophy shift to a run-based offense that operated out of Spread formations.

Caruthers, who played much of the season with a broken hand, was previously named the Southland Conference's Lineman of the Year and a first-team all-Southland selection. He helped the Bears average 41.5 points and 441.8 total yards per game.

Caruthers is UCA's second first-team AP All-American since moving to Division I. Defensive lineman Larry Hart was named to the team in 2008.

Woodard, a junior from Brentwood, Texas, was named the Southland's Defensive Player of the year after leading the conference in sacks (10) and tackles for loss (18.5). His 25 career sacks are second all-time at UCA.
