Arkansas tops Oklahoma, improves to 9-2

Kelsey Brooks and Jessica Jackson combined to score 47 points and Arkansas beat Oklahoma 71-64 Sunday during the SEC/Big 12 Challenge at Verizon Arena in North Little Rock.

Brooks scored a game-high 24 points and Jackson added 23 points as the Razorbacks improved to 9-2 overall. Arkansas is 6-0 in games played away from Fayetteville.

The Razorbacks hit 44 percent of their field goal attempts, but struggled at the free throw line to keep the game close. Arkansas made only 22 of its 42 free throw attempts.

Oklahoma (5-5) led for much of the first half, but the Razorbacks finished the half with a 8-0 run to take a 37-31 lead at halftime. The Sooners hit just 34 percent of their shots and had 33 points off the bench.

Arkansas plays again next Monday against Grambling at Bud Walton Arena.
