LA.-LAFAYETTE 16, NEVADA 3

NEW ORLEANS — Quarterback Terrance Broadway set an NCAA Division I bowl game record by completing his first 14 passes and finished with 227 yards and a touchdown to lead Louisiana-Lafayette (9-4) to a victory over Nevada (7-6).

The victory gave Louisiana-Lafayette its fourth consecutive nine-victory season.

UTAH STATE 21, UTEP 6

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Nick Vigil ran for a touchdown and combined with his brother to make 16 tackles as Utah State (10-4) shut down Texas-El Paso (7-6) to win a bowl game for the third consecutive year.

Since winning the 1967 Sun Bowl, UTEP is 0-6 in the postseason.

LAS VEGAS BOWL

NO. 23 UTAH 45, COLORADO STATE 10

LAS VEGAS — Utah quarterback Travis Wilson ran for three touchdowns and passed for another Saturday, leading the No. 23 Utes to a rout of Colorado State.

Wilson rushed for a season-high 91 yards on 11 carries and completed 17 of 26 passes for 158 yards.

IDAHO POTATO BOWL

AIR FORCE 38, W. MICHIGAN 24

BOISE, Idaho — Shayne Davern ran for a career-high 101 yards and two touchdowns and Air Force beat Western Michigan in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl.

Air Force finished the season 10-3 after going 2-10 last year. Miami of Ohio was the last team to follow a 10-loss season with 10 victories, going from 1-11 in 2009 to 10-4 in 2010.

COLORADO STATE-PUEBLO 13, MINN.-STATE MANKATO 0

KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Chris Bonner threw for 191 yards and a touchdown, Cameron McDondle ran for 113 yards and Colorado State-Pueblo relied on its stingy defense to beat Minnesota State on Saturday for its first Division II national championship.

DURHAM, N.H. — Illinois State scored 15 unanswered points in the fourth quarter as the Redbirds rallied for a victory over top-seeded New Hampshire to advance to the title game on Jan. 10.
