Camden teen, 19, jailed in shooting

Camden police arrested a teenager Sunday in the Friday shooting death of a store manager, according to a statement from Police Chief Boyd Woody.

Austin Hill, 19, of Camden was arrested about 2:30 p.m. on charges of capital murder and aggravated robbery. As of Sunday evening, he remained at the Camden Police Department.

Hill is accused of killing 63-year-old Richard Anders, the manager of Mac's Fresh Market, in the store's parking lot Friday.

Police said Anders was walking to his vehicle with another employee about 5:30 p.m. when the gunman approached him and shot him once in the chest. The gunman took a bag from Anders that held the store's deposit, according to the statement.

Anders was transported to Ouachita County Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Woody said the investigation is ongoing.
